2005 Men's Soccer Season Review

Third year head coach Dean Nichols led the Rams to a mediocre season with the Rams finishing 6-8-3 overall and 1-5-1 in the MASCAC.  Freshman forward Jonathas Goncalves (Framingham, MA) had a great rookie year as led the Rams in scoring and points with 10 goals and 23 points.   His efforts earned him a spot on the All-MASCAC Second Team along with sophomore Karol Tegha (Lynn, MA) who contributed 6 goals and 4 assists.   The Rams defense was sparked by sophomore back Kyle Willingham (Milford, MA), who earned All-MASCAC First Team recognition for his play this season, and senior captain Nolan Skowera (West Springfield, MA). Senior captain Kevin Ridlon (Lynn, MA) and sophomore Eddie Palomba (Saugus, MA) split time in the goal this season to post a combined 2.07 goals against average.  Framingham State, who will only lose two seniors, will look towards the underclassmen to carry the team back to a winning record and post season play.
