Program Coordinator

The Program Leading to Undergraduate Success (PLUS) is an academic enrichment program offered to students whose educational backgrounds may have put them at a competitive disadvantage in their pursuit of a quality college education.

Each year Framingham State College accepts a select group of students who have demonstrated potential for academic success but who have been determined by the admissions office as likely to require academic assistance. PLUS students enroll in the same courses and are expected to satisfy the same academic and graduation requirements as all undergraduates at the College.

Most college freshmen experience some form of transitional anxiety and could benefit from our academic resources. While all students are encouraged to take advantage of the services of CASA, PLUS students are required to utilize academic support services, particularly tutoring and academic advising. Additionally, PLUS students participate in educational workshops that develop their knowledge of campus services and how to use them.

Participants in the PLUS program come from a myriad of backgrounds, circumstances, and ethnicities. They are driven by the desire to learn and the belief in their potential for success. It is our pleasure at CASA to assist these students along the way.

For more information on the PLUS program and the services that are offered, please contact Ms. Maya Weilundemo at 508-626-4907 or at mweilundemo@frc.mass.edu
