Sandy joined FSU in 2007 as the Field Placement Coordinator for the Education Department and assumed the role of the FSU Educator Licensure Officer in 2013.  In addition to her full-time responsibilities in placement and licensure, Sandy serves as the advisor for M.Ed. Instructional Technology, coordinator and advisor for  M.Ed. Elementary, and pre-admission advisor for the PBTL program and M.Ed Secondary Education programs. Sandy is available in-person or by telephone for advising appointments on Tuesdays after 4:30 p.m.   She can be reached by email at sshaw1@framingham.edu.

Kelly Kolodny, PhD

Dr. Kelly Kolodny is a Professor at Framingham State University and the Coordinator of the core education courses for the Master of Education program. She is also the Coordinator of the Post Baccalaureate Teacher Licensure Program. Dr. Kolodny's research interests focus on the learning and development of children; educational collaborations between schools, families, and community institutions; educational biography; and history of schooling.

Dr. Kolodny has taught EDUC 200 Education in American Society; EDUC 376 Early Childhood Curriculum: Social Studies; EDUC 346 Elementary Curriculum: Social Studies; EDUC 431/432 Early Childhood Professional Practicum;   EDUC 437/438 Elementary Professional Practicum; EDUC 999 Research and Evaluation; and First Year Foundations Seminar.

Dr. Kolodny received her B.A. from Clark University, her M.A.T. from Rhode Island College and her Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut. She was the recipient of the FSU Distinguished Faculty Service Award in 2014.
