Phew! This is the word Nancy Nesvet used in summer 2010 after learning that she had passed MTEL 003 General Curriculum: Multi-subject and qualified for fall 2010 student teaching. Following completion of a very successful student teaching experience at the Lilja School in Natick, Nancy was hired as a building subsitute for the remainder of the 2010-2011 school year. Beginning in fall 2011, she had her own first grade classroom.
A few words from Nancy Nesvet:
A CHANGE IN CAREERS….
After 20+ years of working in the banking world, I decided three years ago to make a career change and follow a lifelong dream to become an elementary school teacher. I traded in my briefcase for a backpack, my high heels for a pair of clogs, and I now spend my time writing lesson plans instead of analyzing financial statements. It is awesome to work with creative, energetic kids every day.
WHY I WANT TO BE AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER
Kids inspire and constantly amaze me. They are filled with energy, creativity, and loads of potential. They make me smile, they make me think, and they are our future!
