English majors wishing to graduate with a concentration in journalism must take a minimum of fifteen (15) courses as follows:

Twelve (12) required courses for the major, plus the following four (4):

ENGL 225 Introduction to Journalism
ENGL 331 News Writing

One internship:
ENGL 481 Editorial Workshop in Journalism or
ENGL 494 Practicum in Journalism

One (1) of the following:
ENGL 335 Feature Writing

Capstone (whichever one was not taken above):
ENGL 481 Editorial Workshop in Journalism or
ENGL 494 Practicum in Journalism

Note: One of the above courses, except for the internships, may be used to fulfill the requirements of both the twelve courses in English and the four courses for this concentration.
