The MBA with Healthcare Management degree program consists of 12 courses or 48 credits, consisting of eight (8) Core and four (4) Concentration courses. Prior to enrolling in Core and Concentration courses, students are required to fulfill four (4) foundation course requirements. All course prerequisites are to be observed.
Students must demonstrate proficiency in the following six areas: financial accounting, managerial accounting, economics, marketing, statistics and the study of leadership, teamwork and the organization. The 600-level foundation courses meet proficiency requirements for the program and do not count toward MBA graduate credit.
Proficiency may be demonstrated in one of the following ways:
Appropriate undergraduate or graduate coursework completed with a grade of B or better earned no more than five (5) years prior to the date of application to the MBA program. The Admissions Committee will evaluate each applicant's academic record to determine whether foundation requirements have been met.
Students without appropriate prior academic coursework may demonstrate proficiency by taking a College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) test in an appropriate subject area, or may make a written request for a waiver.
