Over 1,200 new first-year and transfer students will begin their studies at Framingham State University when Day Division classes begin on September 2.
First-year resident students move in to their residence halls beginning Sunday, August 29 to participate in a 3-day pre-semester program, "Black and Gold Beginnings," designed to assist them with the transition to college life. Commuter students are invited to participate in a number of the program's offerings, including faculty-led discussions on this year's common reading.
First-time first-year student Gabriella Musto of Jamaica Plain could barely contain her excitement about starting her education at FSU. She plans to study nutrition at Framingham State -- her first choice when conducting her college search. "Choosing FSU was one of the easiest decisions I have ever made." said Musto. "I am so excited about attending Framingham State University and I hope to academically excel and be an asset to the university community."
New Student Convocation will take place on September 1, 2010 and will be followed by faculty meet-and-greet events and other scheduled activities.
