Prof. Leaffer currently teaches Physical Geology lecture and laboratory in the Department of Physics and Earth Science, and Introduction to Engineering in FSU's Pre-Engineering Program. His academic interest includes sustainable engineering for alternative energy - geothermal, solar, wind and hydro-power.
