NAME PRINTED ON DIPLOMA
Each student's name will be printed on the diploma in exactly the same manner as it is currently listed on his/her academic record.
Students can view their unofficial transcript via myFramingham to see how their name is listed. Corrections to the name (e.g., adding the full middle name or a suffix, etc.) on the diploma must be requested prior to the diploma order (approximately 15 weeks before graduation) to avoid an additional charge.* Contact the Office of the University Registrar for help. A Change of Biographic Information form and along with documentation (i.e., Social Security Card) with verification of legal name may be required. The name on the diploma must match what is on the official record at Framingham State University.
*If the Office of the University Registrar has already ordered a student's diploma and the student wishes to reorder it with modification, the student will need to request the name change, then order a replacement diploma paying any current fee required.
The degree being awarded will appear below the student's name on the diploma. Major(s) are not listed on the diploma. Major(s) & Concentration(s) as well as Minors appear only on a student's academic transcript.
Latin honors (if applicable) are listed on the undergraduate diploma below the degree awarded. Please refer to policy on Graduation Honors regarding eligibility along with the definition.
