Join a FSU faculty member on an academic experience abroad! Faculty members combine real-life experiences with academics to provide you with a unique learning experience. The faculty led tours may be used for academic credit towards the designated courses for the additional cost of the course credit. Registration is through Continuing Education.

Here is a sneak peek of the following programs planned for the academic year 2014-2015!  If you are interested in any of the trips below, please contact the designated faculty member for more information. Stay tuned for more details to come!

Winter Break 2015

London: The English department presents their first international Faculty Led Tour to London, England next January! The tour will be connected to four different English courses taught in the following academic year: Shakespeace, Literature for Children, Brittish Literature 1, and History of Children's Literature.  For 12 days, Dr. Loretta Holloway and students will be visiting destinations from Oxford, Globe Theater, Warner Bros. Studios, Windsor Castle, National Portrait Gallery, and MORE! Please contact Dr. Loretta Holloway with any questions or to express interest in the trip:  

Spring Break 2015 

Costa Rica: Dr. Margaret Carroll, Biology (This tour is connected with a Spring 2015 course: contact Dr. Carroll for more information)

Summer 2015

Northern Ireland: Join Dr. Vincent Ferraro and Dr. Susan Dargan, from the Department of Sociology, next summer to explore Northern Ireland! FSU students will focus on the Social Conflict in Northern Ireland from June 29th - July 27th 2015 (dates subject to change.)  The international field study will begin in Belfast, then off to Londonderry where they'll visit the infamous site of Bloody Sunday, and finishing the tour in Dublin.  While meeting with International Conflict Scholars and Political Party Leaders, the tour will connect with the course SOCI 400 Specifal Topics.  The travel cost of the trip will be $3,200 - $3,500.  If one is enrolled in the Summer 2015: International Field Study in Sociology, the course and travel cost will be $4,200-$4,500.
