Technology
An
important component of the College's mission is the infusion of information
technology throughout the curriculum. Our technology infrastructure makes
possible many state-of-the-art computer applications. The wireless laptop
program enables students to access the campus network and the Internet
wirelessly from all buildings and even outdoors. Faculty members continue to
restructure courses to emphasize leading instructional technology strategies.
Our technology goal is for all graduates to be fluent in information technology
as it applies to their majors and future professions.
On campus our students have access to several technology
classrooms equipped with "smart technology" including Internet-ready
presentation technology with multimedia tools. Some of these rooms are classroom
size while others are larger lecture rooms. These facilities enable instructors
to make their presentations come alive with information that is not generally
available in print form. Students also have access to a newly expanded computer
lab on a twenty-four hour basis.
At the graduate and continuing education level the College
is a leader in asynchronous online courses in several programs. Because of the
convenience and quality of these courses, graduate and continuing education
students come
from several states and even a handful of other countries.
To support these efforts the College provides excellent
help and support to students and faculty.
