Use this if you know the name of a particular journal and want to see if the library has full-text access online.   Nursing and Health Specific Databases CINAHL Plus with Full Text  (1937 - present)                                Off Campus CINAHL Plus with Full Text is the world's most comprehensive source of full text for nursing & allied health journals, providing full text for more than 620 journals indexed in CINAHL. Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition (1975 - present)          Off Campus Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition provides nearly 550 scholarly full text journals, including nearly 450 peer-reviewed journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Also featured are abstracts and indexing for nearly 850 journals. Biomedical Reference Collection: Basic (2003 - present)   Off Campus Biomedical Reference Collection: Basic Edition offers journals which cover virtually every area of medical study. Designed for doctors, research scientists, students and clinical specialists, this medical database provides over 100 full text journals, including full text for many peer-reviewed publications. MEDLINE (1966 – present)                                                                                             MEDLINE, a subset of PubMed, provides authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more. Created by the National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE allows users to search citations from over 4,800 current biomedical journals.     OVID Framingham State College Nursing Collection                       Off Campus A collection of 26 nursing titles ranging from 1996 to the present. Covers all manner of topics from health to business to education and psychology.  Extremely useful for generalized searches in a variety of content areas.  Good place to start a research paper or when trying to refine a topic. (Over 7900 journals are indexed). Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection  (1965 – present) Off Campus   A comprehensive database providing nearly 575 full text publications, including 550 peer-reviewed journals. Useful for research in the area of psychiatric nursing and behavioral issues. The database covers topics such as emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry & psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and observational and experimental methods.  In addition to the full text, indexing and abstracts are provided for all journals in the collection. Education and Training Professional Development Collection    (1965 - present)                   Off Campus Designed for professional educators, this database provides a highly specialized collection of 520 high quality education journals, including nearly 350 peer-reviewed titles.  All areas of education including higher education, special education, education research, learning disabilities, and others, are covered. ERIC  (1955 – present)                                                                       Off Campus        ERIC, the Educational Resource Information Center, provides access to education literature and resources. ERIC provides full text of more than 2,200 digests along with references for additional information and citations and abstracts from over 1,000 educational and education-related journals.  All topics of education including patient education and coverage of health-related information from pre-K through professional and continuing education are included.
