Dr. Casañas (lawyer, author and history professor from the University of Buenos Aires) teaches two courses during the Fall 2014. Professor Casañas will give two talks for the FSU community one on October 23 and the second one on October 29.

Dr. Cordeiro is the Coordinator for the Master of Education with a Concentration in Spanish. She teaches a variety of graduate and undergraduate level courses. Some of her interests include Latin American Cinema, Latin American Culture and Civilization, and 20th Century Latin American Literature.

In her scholarship on women’s studies and women in literature, Dr. Matos-Nin has conducted research on the role of women and the supernatural in literature from the Middle Ages to the colonial period in Spain and Hispanic America, seeking to explore the roots of our culture in the traditional portraiture of women in literature. She is also an Associate Teaching Professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Dr. Wong-Russell teaches Spanish language and Hispanic literature and culture courses for undergraduate students. He is also the director for undergraduates in internship programs, as well as for graduate students in the M.Ed. in Spanish and Post Baccalaureate Teacher Licensing programs. His research interests are in the representation of science and medicine in 20th Century Latin American Literature.
