President Cevallos Joins other Educational Leaders in Urging Action on Climate Change

Dec 22, 2016

Framingham State President F. Javier Cevallos has joined with other educational leaders from around the country to urge the incoming Trump Administration to be a leader in combating the effects of Climate Change.

Dr. Cevallos signed onto an open letter organized by Second Nature, a non-profit organization that works with over 4,000 faculty and administrators at hundreds of colleges and universities to help make the principles of sustainability fundamental to every aspect of higher education.

“A clean energy future is needed for the success of our students,” states the open letter, which was signed by more than 170 college leaders. “The upcoming transition of federal leadership presents a unique opportunity to address head-on the challenges of climate change by accelerating the new energy economy and creating strong, resilient communities.”
