Email and Phone Contacts for Questions – April 7, 2020

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

I know many you will have encountered challenges during the early stages of the move to a remote working environment. I hope most of these challenges have been able to be resolved, and that everyone is adapting to the new format. However, I know that many of you probably also have questions, or are receiving questions, that you neither know how to answer, nor to whom they should be directed for the quickest response. I therefore wanted to send you some contact information that I hope will assist you both in resolving the remote working challenges and in directing your questions, or questions that come to you, to the appropriate office. We’ve found that emailing or calling offices is often a more efficient way of getting help than emailing individuals, since that individual may need to forward the request to yet another individual, who may need to consult yet another person, which slows down the response time. If the email or phone call goes to a particular office, it will be picked up by several people in that office and will reach the correct person as soon as it arrives. I have therefore attached a list of office phone numbers/email addresses that you can use yourselves and also refer others to.

I wish everyone all the best as we progress through this highly unusual and challenging semester. I'm very grateful to be a part of the FSU community as it has banded together to meet the challenges in creative, collaborative, and supportive ways.

Good health to all!
