Professor Grunes brings 40 years of local High Tech industry expertise into the classroom. His record achievement in Enterprise Sales and Marketing serves as an inspiration to all FSU Business students. His range of course content spans first year Freshmen as well as graduating Seniors enrolled in their final semester capstone courses. Professor Grunes began teaching his first Business Marketing courses 40 years ago at Bentley College. He has adapted his current course instruction to reflect the latest technology advances as they relate to consumer buying behavior and social media platforms.

While serving as an Operation Research Systems Analyst for the U.S. Army, Professor Grunes was the youngest graduate to ever earn an MBA from Boston College. As a Systems Engineer with IBM, Professor Grunes defined a new approach to Customer Relationship Marketing. Having held corporate Marketing and Sales Management positions at Polaroid and Hewlett Packard, Professor Grunes pushes the boundaries of an interactive Business Education at FSU.

Dr. Robert Krim

Dr. Krim is Director and co-founder of FSU’s Entrepreneur Innovation Center. He initiated FSU’s Entrepreneurship Concentration and currently teaches Entrepreneurship and Innovation, among other courses. As an entrepreneur, he started, and led, two companies successfully for twenty-five years. He spent more than a decade (1997-2010) founding and leading the Boston History and Innovation Collaborative, a Boston-based research and tourism partnership. A Harvard College graduate, he has graduate degrees in 4 disciplines, including US History and a PhD/MBA from Boston College. He is known for his leading research on what has made Eastern Mass. one of the top 3 innovative regions globally over the past four centuries. His “Bump and Connect” explanation is used by many. His academic focus is on the intersection of innovation and history.

Dr. Jorge Riveras

Dr. Jorge Riveras is an Assistant Professor teaching Strategic Management and International Business courses.  Dr. Riveras became interested in Academia after working for more than two decades in global business and is a true believer of bringing real-world experience to the classroom. Prior to Framingham State University, Dr. Riveras served as an adjunct professor and visiting assistant professor at Suffolk University, an Instructor in Harvard Summer School as well as a Teaching Fellow and a guest lecturer in Boston College, UMASS Boston, Framingham State University, Plymouth State University, and Southern New Hampshire University. Dr. Riveras is particularly interested in the areas of globalization, strategic alliances, sales management, and the political impact on business. He founded a company in Venezuela, which represented global manufacturers of analytical instruments for QC and research fields. He has also served as International Sales Manager and Vice President – Director of Sales and Marketing for a Massachusetts-based technology firm.  Dr. Riveras has developed strategic alliances, negotiated contracts, created promotional material, and conducted market research. Dr. Riveras has experience with training a global sales force and has presented seminars on business and technology in more than 30 countries. Dr. Riveras is bilingual in English and Spanish, has a working knowledge of Portuguese, and has traveled to more than 60 countries.

Dr. Riveras earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, a MBA from Suffolk University, and his PhD in International Business from S. New Hampshire University.
