Admissions Policy

Framingham State's Office of Undergraduate Admissions adheres to preferred filing deadlines but renders admissions decisions on a rolling basis, meaning that the students are notified of their acceptance as soon as all application materials are received and evaluated.

Framingham State accepts students for both September (fall semester) and January (spring semester) starts. Generally students must apply by March 15 for September admission, and December 1 for January admission, but the earlier the better.

Nursing majors who plan to enroll in Nursing courses during their first semester MUST apply as Day School/Day Division students, not Evening/Division of Graduate and Continuing education, even if planning to take late afternoon/evening Nursing courses part-time or full-time.  All Nursing undergraduate program courses are in the University's Day Division, not the Division of Graduate and Continuing Education (Evening Division), whether offered in the morning or late afternoon.

Orientation sessions for Day Division/Day School students are held in mid-January for students entering in January, and then again in May and in August for September starts; students need only to attend one orientation session.
