Advisory Board

The MBA Business Advisory Board consists of executives occupying key managerial roles in business, industry, education, health, and non-profit organizations in the MetroWest region.

The Board is chaired by Dr. Arthur Winston, founder of The Gordon Institute of Tufts University and past president and fellow of the IEEE.

Objectives

The objective of the Board is to ensure the continued relevance of the Framingham State University MBA to the needs of employers in the MetroWest region.

The Board meets quarterly with the MBA Steering Committee (MBA faculty and administrators) and provides advice to the MBA Steering Committee on:

  • program review and evaluation
  • the curriculum
  • internship opportunities
  • faculty research and development

Peter Vandermeulen

Vice President Sales and Marketing, Performance Motion Devices, Inc

Peter Vandermeulen is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Performance Motion Device, Inc., a company specializing in high-performance motion control ICs and components for the medical and laboratory industries. He started 7AC Technologies in 2009 to develop waste-heat air conditioning and dehumidification systems and raised over $8M for the company from 3M and angel investors. In 2003 Peter also founded BlueShift Technologies (a robotics company) to introduce the use of continuous flow automated manufacturing to the semiconductor industry and raised $20M in venture capital from North Bridge, Atlas and Intel Capital. Peter holds over 70 patents in robotic automation, air conditioning and plasma processing technologies. He was VP Business Development and GM at Brooks Automations' Vacuum Automation Business and worked for Varian Ion Implant Systems and ASM International as a Senior Scientist. Peter holds an MBA from Babson College and a MSc in Physics from Eindhoven University of Technology in The Netherlands.
