Course Cycle

The STEM program consists of ten (10) courses: 3 EDUC, 6 STEM, and 1 elective.

The course map is subject to change based on matriculating students. However, below is representative of a "typical" schedule.

Year 1:
Fall: EDUC 998 Language Development and Communication
Spring: STEM 915 The Art of Engineering Design
Summer: STEM 945 21st Century Technology Tools for Teaching and Learning (and possibly Elective*)

Year 2:
Fall: STEM 959 Examining the World through Data and Shape
Spring: STEM 932 Poetry and Pattern in the Natural World of Science
Summer: EDUC 991 Philosophy of Education and Teaching Practice and EDUC 999 Research and Evaluation

Year 3:
Fall: STEM 929 Number, Operations, and Representation   
Spring: STEM 962 A World Connected: Interdependence and Systems in Science

Note: The tenth course (elective) may be taken at the participant’s convenience. The courses are offered regularly.
