Robert Richards

Mr. Richards is a practicing attorney with Murphy & King, P.C., where he specializes in the area of business law.  He represents individuals and private companies with respect to the creation, structuring and financing of businesses, mergers and acquisitions, and employment and contractual matters. He also practices in the real estate area where he represents property owners and commercial tenants in connection with the acquisition, development, financing, and leasing of real estate.

A primary focus of Mr. Richards’ practice is the completion of private company business transactions where he represents buyers and sellers of companies in a variety of industries; motor vehicle dealers in the purchase, sale and financing of foreign and domestic dealerships and associated real estate; investors and companies completing debt and equity investment transactions; bankrupt debtors seeking to sell, and buyers seeking to acquire, assets as part of a bankruptcy proceeding; and banks and businesses completing commercial lending transactions.

Currently serving as Trustee Emeriti, Mr. Richards has served on the Framingham State Board of Trustees since 2004, where he has also held the position of Chair. 

Mr. Richards earned a bachelor of arts degree from Framingham State University and a Juris Doctor from the New England School of Law.
