Lorretta M. Holloway, PhD

Dr. Lorretta M. Holloway is the Vice President of Academic Enhancement at Framingham State University in Massachusetts. She has a BA from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, a MA from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, and a PhD in literature from the University of Kansas, specializing in 19th-century British literature. For 16 years, she taught undergraduate, graduate, and high school students (in FSU’s College Tomorrow program) in over 20 courses.  She serves on the board of Wayside Youth and Family Services, Bethany Hill Place, and Leadership Metrowest. She developed Framingham State’s College Readiness for Parents program and is in charge of the Student Support Fund, which provides emergency funding for students in crisis.

She has a BA in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Massachusetts and a Certification on Non-Profit Management from Suffolk University and has held positions in the private sector as Financial Analyst for Compaq Computers and the Federal Government as Partnership Coordinator for the US Bureau of the Census. She is a long time Framingham resident and actively involved with local organizations and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. She runs Framingham State’s loaner laptop program.
