McKenzie Ward is an undergraduate student at Framingham State University, majoring in History and English. Prior to her role as Student Trustee, McKenzie served as a senator on FSU’s Student Government Association and served as FSU’s Open Educational Resource Ambassador for the 2019-2020 academic year.

As the Opinion’s Editor of FSU’s award-winning independent newspaper, The Gatepost, McKenzie regularly publishes opinion pieces concerning topics related to politics and education. McKenzie works in New Student and Family Programs as a Peer Mentor, where she co-teaches a first-year foundations seminar with Dean David Baldwin to support first-year students through their first semester. McKenzie also works in the Student Involvement and Development office as one of the Student Coordinator of Events. McKenzie is dedicated to her studies and is a member of both Tau-Sigma and Alpha Lambda Delta honor societies.

McKenzie is a lifelong resident of Medway, Massachusetts with her parents and two siblings. McKenzie is hoping to attend law school after her time at Framingham State University and plans to specialize in constitutional law or family law.
