Facilities and Capital Planning

The Facilities and Capital Planning Department is dedicated to providing functional facilities that are safe, clean, attractive, accessible and conducive to learning.

The services they provide include all aspects of buildings and grounds maintenance in order to maintain a safe and clean environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors.

The Facilities and Capital Planning Department has the overall responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of all University property. This includes the Residence Halls, the Academic Buildings, the parking areas, and the ball fields.

The Department also manages all construction and renovation projects, promotes life safety and environmental compliance, manages key energy management issues, and performs preventative maintenance on equipment.

Capital Planning is responsible for capital projects and University renovation and repair projects to the Framingham State University campus infrastructure buildings and grounds. All design and construction projects are completed within the statutory requirements of the Massachusetts General Law.
