Campus Security Authorities (CSA)

The job of safety on campus does not rest solely in the hands of the University Police Department. It is a collaborative effort across the offices on campus.

The purpose of including non-law enforcement as CSAs is that many individuals receive crime reports, not only law enforcement. The Clery Acts defines a CSA a Member of university police, an individual who has responsibility for campus security and safety but does not constitute a police department (SDAs), an individual or organization specified in the institution’s security policy as an individual or organization to which students and employees should report criminal offenses, an official of an institution who has significant responsibility for student campus activities.
